2011 has been a busy and exciting year so far at PAE. The shop is packed full of customer cars, and interesting projects.
We are keeping the dyno wheels turning, custom tuning with SCT, Diablo, Fast, and Big Stuff software.
Since being selected as a Ford Racing Performance Parts distributor in 2010, we have been very busy selling and installing FRPP parts.
Since we have been running the new 5.0 Coyote, and 2012 Boss 302 engines in Brian’s NASA American Iron road race car, (over 4000 race miles to date), we have come to really appreciate this new engine family. The power, efficiency, and smoothness of this new engine, has and will lend itself to be a great engine swap candidate. Currently we have 3 cars in house undergoing this transplant.
First is a Factory Five 1933 Hot Rod. We actually had a new Coyote installed in one of their chassis before Factory Five had one. With stock headers and a custom PAE tune, it made 414RWHP on our Dyno Jet.
Another is a 1989 Mustang LX, that we swapped a new Coyote 5.0 for his aluminum 347. This is an open track/road race car that is driven to the track pulling a trailer with his track wheels and tools.
The third one is a 1987 Mustang GT, that is receiving a 2012 BOSS 302 engine.
With a 5.0 Coyote, complete with the control pack costing less than $8000, this has got to be the best bang for the buck.
We will post more details on our projects page soon.
